Teknomer 200 Waterproofing Material

Product description
It is a two-component, semi-flexible waterproofing material consisting of liquid polymers and special additives.

Usage areas
• As waterproofing on concrete and cement mortars and plastered surfaces indoors and outdoors,
• For curtain and wall insulation,
• In areas that are not mobile to concrete structures,
• For wet volume waterproofing,
• Water tanks, swimming and ornamental pools,
• Wet areas such as bathrooms, WCs, balconies,

• It is recommended to use Teknolatex 300 with adherence enhancing primer on plasterboard surfaces.

Application Instructions
The surfaces must be clean, smooth, solid, free from all kinds of dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold oil, detergent, etc. If there is segregation in the concrete, damaged and loose parts should be removed. If there are cracks or cavities on the floor or wall where the application will be made, they should be repaired with appropriate TEKNOREP repair mortars. TEKNOMER 200 should be applied after 3-4 days.

It should be ensured that the slope screed or concrete is poured in the direction of the water flow. The correct control of the slope is done as follows. A gauge is held from the beginning to the drain, and a scale is placed on it. If it is determined that there is no slope or there is a reverse slope as a result of the control, the application should not be started, the water flow direction should be adjusted by processing the concrete and screed. If necessary, additional screed or concrete should be poured. If the surface to be insulated is dry, it should be wetted and saturated with water and made ready for application. Sharp corners and edges should be chamfered with TEKNOREP thick repair mortar. In wet areas and balconies that will be covered with ceramic tiles, TEKNOMER PAH TAPE should be applied to all corners beforehand.

After TEKNOMER 200 is thoroughly mixed and rested, it is applied to the water-saturated surface with the help of a brush and/or trowel without losing its moisture. After the first setting of the material, the second layer is applied in the vertical direction of the first layer application. If the application is made on the screed, a flexible waterproofing mesh must be used between the floors. Waiting time between coats; After the application of the first layer, when there is no trace on the fingers in the manual control, other layers can be passed.

First, the liquid B component of TEKNOMER 200 is poured into a clean container that is free of any substance preventing adhesion. Then the powdered TEKNOMER 200 A component is poured slowly. The product is mixed with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous mixture without lumps is obtained. Mixing time should be at least 5 minutes. The mortar obtained at the end of the process should be rested for 3 minutes and mixed again for 2 minutes until it becomes homogeneous.

Application Notes / Limitations
• Since it is cement based, do not breathe the dust, do not contact the skin and eyes.
• Do not apply on wood, chipboard, mdf, plywood, PVC and metal surfaces.
• Thick application should be avoided in one go.
• Only its own liquid should be used in the mixture. Absolutely no water should be added.
• Foreign materials should not be added.
• Protection is required to achieve the long-term performance expected from the product. After 3 days, tiles, ceramics, plaster, screed should be applied to protect against all kinds of punctures, scratches and impacts that may occur after the application.
• After the application, it should be protected against adverse weather conditions such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (over +35°C), rain and frost. Before the product is fully cured, hands should be cleaned with water and detergent.
• Equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after the application, before it hardens. After the product hardens, it should be cleaned by mechanical methods.
