Teknomer 300 Acrylic Based, Elastic Waterproofing Material

Product description
It is an elastomeric acrylic resin/polymer based, single component, elastic waterproofing material.

Usage areas
• Water tanks, swimming and ornamental pools,
• On sloping terrace roofs,
• In wet areas such as bathrooms, WCs, balconies,
• On the facades of silos, warehouses and buildings,
• It is used as elastic waterproofing material on reinforced concrete, galvanized sheet, polyurethane foam, zinc, PVC eaves, hidden stream surfaces.

Application Instructions
Surface Quality: Surfaces should be clean, smooth, solid, free from all kinds of dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold oil, detergent, etc. If there is segregation in the concrete, damaged and loose parts should be discarded and weak pieces should be removed. If there are cracks or cavities on the floor or wall where the application will be made, they should be repaired with appropriate TEKNOREP repair mortars. The application of Teknomer 300 should be started after 3-4 days.

It should be ensured that the slope screed or concrete is poured in the direction of the water flow. The correct control of the slope is done as follows. A gauge is held from the beginning to the drain, and a scale is placed on it. If it is determined that there is no slope or there is a reverse slope as a result of the control, the application should not be started, the water flow direction should be adjusted by processing the concrete and screed. If necessary, additional screed or concrete should be poured.

Surface Preparation: If there is any puddle or ponding on the surface, it should be removed. Teknomer Chamfer Tapes should be applied to all corners beforehand in wet areas and balconies that will be covered with ceramic tiles.

Application Notes / Limitations
• Foreign materials should not be added.
• Protection is required to achieve the long-term performance expected from the product. After 3 days, tiles, ceramics, plaster, screed should be applied to protect against all kinds of punctures, scratches and impacts that may occur after the application.
• Avoid applying in very humid and/or very hot weather.
• It should not be applied on surfaces that are frozen, melting or where there is a risk of frost within 24 hours.
• TEKNOMER 300 is mixed with a low-speed mixer in a clean container free of all kinds of non-adhesive substances or in its own container until a lump-free homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing time should be at least 5 minutes.
• TEKNOMER 300; After it is thoroughly mixed and rested, it is applied to the water-saturated surface with the help of a brush and/or trowel without losing its moisture.
• Depending on the absorbency of the surface, 50% of water can be added to TEKNOMER 300, it is applied to the surface with a brush as a primer coat. After the primer coat dries, the first coat of Teknomer 300 is applied to the entire surface with a roller or brush. If desired, carrier glass fiber can be used as reinforcement between floors. Waiting time between coats is at least 5 hours. After the application of the first layer, when there is no trace on the fingers in the manual control, other layers can be passed. If desired, carrier glass fiber can be used as reinforcement between floors.
• If the first layer is applied from left to right, after Teknomer 300 dries, the second layer should be applied perpendicular to the first.
• TEKNOMER 300 cures with air. Curing time is extended at low temperatures and shortened at high temperatures. If a water test is to be made or production will be made on it, it is necessary to make sure that the product is completely dry and hardened. Otherwise, it should refrain from applying.
• After the application, it should be protected against adverse weather conditions such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (over +35°C), rain and frost. Before the product is fully cured, hands should be cleaned with water and detergent.
• Equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after the application, before it hardens. After the product hardens, it should be cleaned by mechanical methods.
