Teknomer 420 Acrylic Waterproofing Primer

Product description:
One-component, bitumen rubber-based primer that protects and adheres to the concrete surface.

Usage areas:
• In basement and curtain walls,
• It is used in the insulation of concrete pipes.
• As a primer before bituminous membrane application,
• On terraces, in wet areas such as bathrooms, WCs, balconies, under ceramic tiles,

Application details:
Surface Quality: The surfaces must be clean, smooth, solid, free of all kinds of dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold oil, detergent, etc. If there is segregation in the concrete, damaged and loose parts should be discarded and weak pieces should be removed. If there are cracks or cavities on the floor or wall where the application will be made, they should be repaired with appropriate TEKNOREP repair mortars. Teknomer 420 application should be started after 3-4 days.

Surface Preparation: The surface to be insulated must be dry. If there is a puddle or ponding, it should be removed.

Surface and Ambient Temperature: (+)5°C - (+)35°C

Mixing: Teknomer 420 is mixed in a clean container free of all kinds of non-adhesive substances or in its own container. It is mixed with a low speed mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing time is minimum 5 minutes. should be.

Application Method / Equipment:
The product, which has been mixed and ready for application, is applied to the surface with a stiff bristle brush or spraying machines. After the application of the first layer, when there is no trace on the fingers after the application of the first layer, other layers can be applied.

Consumption: Every 1 mm depending on the surface condition and workmanship. approx. 0.5 kg./m2 - 1.0 kg./m2 for thickness

Cleaning: Before the product is fully cured, hands should be cleaned with water and detergent.

Cleaning of Equipment: Equipment should be cleaned with Tekno Thinner immediately after the application, before it hardens. After the product hardens, it should be cleaned by mechanical methods.

Potlife: Approximately 1 hour at 20 °C

Application Notes / Limitations:
• It should not be applied under direct sunlight.
• It should be applied in two layers.
• It should not be applied in the rain.
• Rain, etc., until the newly applied material completes its hardening. must be protected against weather conditions.
