Teknomer 650 Pure Polyurea Coating

Product description
It is a pure polyurea based, two-component, solvent-free, crack-bridging, fast-curing, waterproofing membrane that can be applied in all weather conditions because it cures very quickly due to its chemical structure.

Application Instructions
Surface Quality: The surfaces must be clean, smooth, solid, free from all kinds of dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold oil, detergent, etc. If there is segregation in the concrete, damaged and loose parts should be discarded and weak pieces should be removed. If there are cracks or cavities on the floor or wall where the application will be made, they should be repaired with appropriate TEKNOREP 300 repair mortars. TEKNOMER 650 application should be started at least 7 days later.

Surface Preparation: If there is dilatation of the structure before TEKNOMER 650 application, the dilatation must first be insulated using TEKNOMER PAH TAPES and TEKNOMER 400 D. Later, the insulation of the dilatations is more difficult and costly. All drains and gutters, strainers should be insulated using chamfer tapes. The surface to be insulated must be dry. If there is a puddle or ponding, it should be removed. Two-component, epoxy-based TEKNOBOND 300 should be applied as a primer on the concrete surface with a brush or roller at 200 – 400 grams/m². TEKNOBOND 300 NB Primer should be used on damp surfaces. The primer to be used on metal surfaces should be TEKNOBOND 110. Primer consumption varies according to the quality and absorbency of the concrete. Before the primer is completely cured, it must be ensured that it has hardened. Minimum 4 hours, maximum 48 hours should be waited for waterproofing to be done on it.

Teknomer 650 can be applied to previously primed surfaces by spraying with appropriate equipment. Since the product does not have UV resistance, it must be covered with Teknobond 650 P, thermal insulation boards, protection boards, geotextile felt, etc. after the application.

Cleaning of Equipment: Equipment should be cleaned with TEKNO THINNER immediately after the application, before it hardens. After the product hardens, it should be cleaned by mechanical methods.

Application Notes / Limitations
• Foreign materials should not be added.
• It should not be applied in the rain.
• The product should not be diluted with water.
• Rain, etc., until the newly applied material completes its hardening. must be protected against weather conditions.
