Teknosil W Water Based, Water Repellent Insulation Material

Product description
It is a Silane-Siloxanal based, white colored material that impregnates the surfaces of building elements and impregnates them with water repellent properties.

Usage areas

• It is used to protect historical artifacts against atmospheric effects.

Application Instructions
The surfaces must be clean, smooth, solid, free from all kinds of dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold oil, detergent, etc. If there is segregation in the concrete, damaged and loose parts should be discarded and weak pieces should be removed. If there are cracks or cavities on the floor or wall where the application will be made, they should be repaired with appropriate TEKNOREP repair mortars. TEKNOSİL W application should be started after 3-4 days. It is ready to use, absolutely no water should be added. The surface on which TEKNOSİL W will be applied must be dry.
For maximum penetration in first coat applications, it should be applied to dry surfaces with a suitable roller, brush or spray machine. After approximately 4 hours, the second layer should be applied. For maximum protection, it may be necessary to apply one more coat on very porous surfaces.

After the application, it should be protected against adverse weather conditions such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (over +35°C), rain and frost. Before the product is fully cured, hands should be cleaned with water and detergent.

Equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after the application, before it hardens. After the product hardens, it should be cleaned by mechanical methods.

Application Notes / Limitations
• Comply with work safety precautions. Use gloves, masks and goggles while using the product.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Otherwise, consult a doctor.
• Do not apply to PVC and metal surfaces.
• Do not add foreign substances into the mixture.
