Teknomer Waterstop Tape

Product description
They are modified PVC-based flexible waterstops produced in special sections that ensure the sealing of construction and expansion joints when concrete is poured. Depending on the usage areas, they are supplied in different sizes and types.

Usage areas
• Water tanks, swimming and ornamental pools,
• In reinforced concrete waterstop structures such as canals, treatment plants, dams, swimming pools,
• They are used to provide water impermeability of construction and expansion joints.
• They are used in the construction of structures such as buildings with large basements, underground car parks, subways and sea walls as waterproof.

Application Instructions
Water Retaining Bands placed in concrete: Placement in the center of concrete elements. TEKNOMER WATERPROOF TAPES can be easily fixed to the reinforcement in the concrete, thanks to the holes left on the tape at certain intervals.

Water Retaining Tapes applied to the surface: It can be applied to the surface of the formwork or base protection concrete.

Welding: Since TEKNOMER WATERPROOF TAPES are based on thermoplastic PVC, they can be easily joined by hot air welding. The edges (available for each type) must be fixed to the weld mold and cut precisely. Next, the cut ends should be welded with suitable welding equipment until a molten and smooth PVC surface emerges. The welder should be removed and the melted edges should be pressed tightly together. The welding temperature should be ~ (+)200°C.

Application Notes / Limitations
• In applications that will be exposed to negative water pressure, waterstop tapes should not be applied to the concrete surface.
• It should be protected from UV rays during storage.
• It should be stored in unopened packages, at a maximum temperature of (+)30°C, in a dry environment.
